Description
The Journal of International Collaborative Education (JoICE) publishes critical scholarly peer reviewed articles from researchers and practitioners in all regions of the world contributing new insights into current and emerging concepts, theories, research and practice in the transnational, higher education. It is an open English journal published twice a year and sponsored AEMG Education for global public distribution. The first issue has been published in 2022 and all the issues are full-open access.
Mission
Exchange experience and promote the development of international collaborative education.
Aim & Scope
The journal aims to support and inform the work higher education leaders, administrators, educators, emerging and established researchers and policy makers interested in all facets of the internationalization of higher education through the publication of original research that advances knowledge, theory and practice in the field.
We publish articles that:
- Make a unique and valuable contribution to the global academic conversation on issues related to the internationalization of higher education.
- Are well-documented, grounded in theory and in practice.
- Have a comparative dimension.
- Include appropriate and substantial reference to international literature in the field.
- Original research reports and papers on transnational, higher education within a global context are our top priority.
Low priorities are given to small case studies of institutional policies and the description of a single programme or activity. Case studies will not be published unless they are located in a wilder context, make appropriate reference to international literature in the field of research and make substantive and innovative contributions to the field.
We Don’t usually publish:
Opinion articles or essays — although occasionally, they will be considered when editors think the issue is significant and the quality of the article is high enough.
Book reviews – although we do mention new and significant publications, we are aware of in editorials.
JoICE has published an article on the concepts, strategies, methods and problems related to the collaboration between education providers in different countries, which has made important and unique contributions to the theory and practice.
